“We are most grateful to you and all the life’s lessons we have learned as a family because of you. With gratitude and admiration.”
Dr. Charlotte Reznick specializes in helping children and adolescents develop the emotional skills necessary for a happy and successful life. Her focus is on teaching children how to help themselves by learning to connect with their feelings, develop self-awareness and understanding, and to think through and creatively solve problems.
Her philosophy is one of self-empowerment. Rather than give children answers, Dr. Reznick teaches them the tools to find the answers for themselves. Children and adolescents learn the skills needed to more effectively communicate with their parents and peers. They learn to express their feelings appropriately, gain self-confidence, and develop more positive social skills.
Since 1979, Dr. Reznick's calm personal style has been extremely successful in helping children to reduce stress, to deal with anger and frustration, to heal somatic complaints and the pain of past abuse, to increase concentration, and to compensate for learning disabilities.
With her patient guidance, children learn to cope with the losses of divorce and death, and the worries of parental and sibling conflicts. Bedwetting and sleep disorders have also been favorably treated.
Dr. Reznick evaluates and treats children of all ages, from preschool through college. Assessments are available for the gifted, those with learning disabilities, attention deficit disorder and emotional disturbance, and for the developmentally handicapped. She is a California Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP 1475).
Notes of appreciation
from families working with Dr. Charlotte:
“I wanted to let you know that our son is now a delightful, straight A, 8th grade student. He is so organized, self-motivated, self-assured, thanks in no small part to your time with him and the tools he learned from you. Thank you ever so much!”
"I have often heard it said, 'If you make a difference in one person's life, then you have made a great accomplishment.' Well .... you have certainly made a difference in our daughter's life. You have given her so many tools to use with which she can overcome life's challenges. You have helped to shape a wonderful young person, who truly believes in herself and knows herself.
We are most grateful to you and all the life's lessons we have learned as a family because of you. With gratitude and admiration."
"I don't know what you did, but it worked! After meeting with you, my son and daughter are sharing, there are no more arguments, and no one's holding anything over anyone's head. Thank you so much!"
"Thank you for everything, especially this year as my teen transitions to college. You have done so much to support and shape the health and resilience of my family. Warmly,"
